Despite some health issues at our house, we managed to pull it together to celebrate Easter in good form. We colored eggs on Friday night. Miles was very capable and methodical this year, though he burned through the eggs faster than we ever thought possible (a combination of coloring them quickly and dropping them on the floor). Micah wanted to get in on the action, and at first he did a nice job of carefully using his spoon to stir his egg. By the end, though, his egg was severely cracked, and his hand was quite blue!
On Easter morning the kids enjoyed the goodies in their baskets. Micah got some candy which he loved. Miles got a K'Nex kit with instructions for building a whole array of different trucks. We were too busy building truck after truck (after truck) to remember to take pictures of this today, but trust us, he loved it. We also had an egg hunt in the playroom. Miles did a great job taking turns "finding" eggs with Micah. Really this meant that Miles gave every other egg he found to Micah. There was one special egg that Miles found that had jelly beans in it. Miles ate most of them, but selflessly gave the black one (the flavor he doesn't like) to Micah. Micah sucked on it for a while, and then spat it out. We managed to snap a quick picture before cleaning Micah up.
